Good Bengals are not inexpensive, you generally get what you pay for!! It is true, you can find Bengal kittens priced lower, but in most cases, these will not have the bright colors and vivid markings that you see on Bengals pictured on websites and in magazines. There is a lot of expense involved in raising quality kittens, more than most people realize. Our kittens are individually evaluated and priced accordingly. Those that meet the Bengal standard, have the best markings, pattern, coloration and conformation, They are our top quality kittens and therefore are most expensive. Kittens go through many stages as they develop, so we are continually re-evaluating them as they grow. We can generally tell at birth, what to expect from a kitten and we price them accordingly. But they sometimes surprise us by getting better than we expected or not as nice as we'd like. So we reserve the right to re-assess them as they develop and price accordingly. Once someone has placed a deposit on a kitten however, the price is locked in and will not increase. Click here to read this prior to taking your kitten home!

Are you eagerly awaiting then Please read this! While the kittens are nursing from mom they receive needed immunities from their mother's milk. At around six weeks of age this begins to slowly taper off and antibodies will no longer interfere with the vaccination rendering it less effective. It's during this time period that a kitten is most vulnerable to disease and stress. Just another reason they are left with mom, given time for the vaccination to begin working. The kittens can also run a fever after their shots which is another reason we will keep the kitten after being vaccinated the first time. When a kitten is ten to twelve weeks of age the immune system has developed enough to give the kitten much needed protection when going through the stress of adoption.

Remember that when Kittens leave for their new homes around ten to twelve weeks of age they are well socialized by this time and can handle new experiences without much fear or stress. This socialization comes not only from their human family, but also from mom and littermates. I will put up weekly pictures of the kittens as they grow so everyone with deposits can see them grow. By the time you get your kitten all you need to do is love him/her and play with your new goody scrap bag.

They've learned how to play, without getting too rough, how to use the litter box, how to stay well-kept through daily grooming, and how to interact with humans and other cats without biting to hard. Our kittens start using there litter boxes at about 4 weeks of age and have well-formed litter box habits. They have been eating solid foods for at least four weeks, and have become quite used to the daily activities of our household. The every day chore of Vacuuming and the rattling of Pots and Pans in the kitchen has very little effect on when it is time for them to leave for their new home. At this time they are mentally and physically ready to make the big change. Hope this helps ease the anticipation a little.
